I am a small-town, country girl. Love horses and all animals, pickup trucks (big dooleys), classic hotrods, cowboy hats & boots, rodeos, barrel racing, trail riding, campfires, Nascar (3 & 8) and oh yeah, Country music! I live on a small 16-acre farm in Tennessee with all my critters...
Hi Pamela ... Sorry to hear you lost your Dobe. We lost our first suddenly at ten to cardio, then our second at seven to bone cancer. I know how you're feeling ... Our second one, Barron, was such an incredible dog - we say we had to get TWO this time to fill the hole. They say the hardest thing about owning a Dobe is the hole they leave when they're gone ... I don't think we'll ever own another breed of dog. I used to trail ride a lot - the love of my life was my big strawberry roan racking horse mare, who blew an aneurysm about ten years ago while I was riding her down the road - she let out a cry, came off the ground on the front, and crashed down and died. It was probably the most horrid moment of my life. Went to Georgia and brought home a field trial horse, but he's just not her. He's one of those trip, stumble and fall walking horses, and I'm too old nowadays to hit the blacktop! :-) He's purty in the field, though ... :-)
Sounds like you have a really nice place and a good life going ... good for you ... you'll need to get another Doberdog to fill that hole ...

There are just way too many people here. You can sneeze and your neighbor will hear you. I don't want to have to worry about if your kids go outside if they are going to get shot.
